NTU’s School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) has over 60 faculty members and over 1500 students and is rapidly expanding its range of education and research activities. Its faculty has led major university-wide strategic thrusts such as the establishment of the Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (NEWRI) in 2008 which pulls research in the environment and water domains across NTU. NEWRI with its five research centres and groups and total funding already exceeding S$100 million work across a broad spectrum spanning membranes, microbiology and bioprocesses, environmental chemistry and urban environmental management.
To fuel our growth, we invite applications for tenure-track faculty position in the following area:
Environmental Chemistry
Candidate must have a PhD degree in chemistry/environmental chemistry, environmental process engineering, or chemical engineering. The candidate should be a team player and be able to support the research direction of the school and fit into an international and interdisciplinary research environment. Expertise in one or more of the following areas with hands-on experience and an excellent track-record in conducting research are highly desirable: environmental analytical chemistry, aquatic chemistry, chemical wastewater treatment, or environmental catalysis. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to teach both graduate and undergraduate level courses in environmental chemistry/engineering, and able to attract research funding.
